  • He intentionally moved that couch there to be in his frame. He wanted his dog in his background. It’s directly in front of that door, blocking a narrow walking path, in an otherwise well-kept home. I doubt that he lives with that there everyday.

Not sure why, I can’t get my dog or kids out of my office fast enough when I’m on a video call.

  • It’s kind of sad that we are joking about this…

Like, really, making light of it is exactly what they want. This type of shit needs to be treated seriously.

Memes like this only serve to desensitize us to the dark reality.

This is, quite literally, pro-MAGA propaganda, intended for anti-MAGA audience. To diffuse us.

They do this all the time. Use of dark humor to get people to lighten up about terrible situations. School shootings. War. Genocide. Domestic violence. Police brutality. Rape. And then it’s all just a joke, and nobody cares anymore.

  • As a queer guy I could see playing with the phrase that way, much like how my friends call each other the F word,

My wife used to work with a guy like that, in a supermarket chain.

Around Christmastime he says to my wife…“You’ve heard of elf on the shelf? Well how about…”…and just stopped there, and straddled a long, thin loaf of French bread like a witch riding a broom.

My wife, being the type of ally who would never use that word, just kinda stared at him blankly. She didn’t get it.

Meanwhile when she told me this story I nearly keeled over laughing. Not because of the joke but just because of her reaction to it.

  • Thank you for phrasing this particular way.

This is what pissed me off about people who abstained from voting, or worse, voted Trump or 3rd party, because of Harris and Israel.

Like, sure, okay, Harris’s position wasn’t perfect. And a genocide on the other side of the world is absolutely a terrible thing. But friends and family are starving and homeless here. They are targeted for assault here. They are dieing of preventable and treatable conditions, here. The air is unfit to breathe and the water is unfit to drink here.

All of this, in a way, is a form of economic/class genocide, which is a totally bigger conversation.

And now, because of them, we are building concentration camps here, for people that are living here.

I get what they feel, and I don’t want to be dismissive of it…but for real, they need to check their privilege.

If we can’t even discuss, let alone fix, these problems locally, seriously, wtf is any politician going to do about fucking Israel?
