I understood without being a father and I’m slowly edging towards my fifties. I am devastated.
Avid PC gamer, Linux convert, SCP fan.
Love Science Fiction, Cyberpunk, post-apocalyptic settings; Fan of the games of the defunct Arkane Studios. Listening to (Power-, Speed-, Thrash-)Metal, Gothic, Deathrock, EBM, Vaporwave, Lo-Fi; Classic and Musicals are fine too. Can’t stand Hip-Hop.
Owned by two cats, recently divorced, blessed with a personality disorder (AVPD) - pensioned (even the state has the opinion I’m a total wreck lol). This causes me to be unable to keep up personal connections and makes me ghost literally everyone, so if it happens to you, sorry in advance.
Chronically online.
Pro GenAI, but Anti-GenAI-Corpos; this technology should be available to everyone, which would only be fair since we all contributed to it. Datasets and Models should be under the jurisdiction of UNESCO, since they are literally the distilled cultural output of humanity.

The magic one please. I need a mind reset anyways, knowing what i know today is no resource,it’s a handicap.
I currently use wifi6 because i am too lazy to deal with the cable right now, but i also don’t play online. Would definitely go back to the good old cable when changing that
It’s the name for the currently occurring Apocalypse in game.
Yeah, let him plug in a cable and see if it changes anything 😁
Its mainly noticeable as a unstable framerate independent from any real system load. The Latency of your internet connection is the actually deciding factor while the game is waiting for the cloud save to update.
The issues you describe sounds very much like the consequences of packet loss somewhere between the host and the clients. Anyone using mobile internet or WiFi instead of all cables? Thats the main culprit for these problems - their net code never was super stable and badly coped with spotty connections.

Our homes are built to isolate, and the apartment building i live in is older than most of the buildings currently existing in the US that are used as living space. It’s from the 1920s, and although it was modernized in the 2000s, the basic attributes don’t change. They were never built with heatwaves in mind, they were constructed to make sure you didn’t freeze to death in winter. A large percentage of available living spaces here are constructed this way.
A) there is no AC, and the European Window Style does not make it easy to retrofit, in addition to needing permits - these are historical buildings that are protected by law, preventing most permanent changes to the facade, and rentals are the default in Vienna, so you are messing with someone else’s property.
B) short bouts of heat are no issue because of the isolating attributes, but long term heat slowly seeps in, and it’s hard to cool the rooms back down again. I only open my windows after sunset and close them shortly after sunrise, while hanging cloth into them on the outside to prevent direct sun, but when the nights dont drop below 25°c, you can’t get the heat out fast enough.
C) Our infrastructure is only slowly catching up. Even things like older hospitals or care facilities dont have HVAC. At least nowadays most public transport has AC, but that is a pretty new thing.
So no, our infrastructure at large is not made to deal with long stretches of 40°c heat. It was made when we still had -25°c winters and 30°c were noteworthy.

There’s talk of a possible new alltime record, old one was 40,5°c. There is also a forecast which says we will have a very high chance of setting a new nightly minimum record of 28°c on Wednesday night.
Three worst thing are the populist parties attempting to dress this up as “a summer as it used to be”. My childhood memories tell me that summers were maxing out somewhere in the 32°c, and we had a lot of heat thunderstorms cooling the evenings when reaching those temperatures.
Nowadays we don’t even get rain.

Tranlation: Do you remember the level in Super Mario Bros. 3 where the Sun tries to kill you?
This is today.

This is the forecast for the next 5 days in Vienna/Austria. Last week was the same. I am fucking exhausted.

Cant wait for Friday.
As someone with massive sleeping issues - no, that is not normal.
As @[email protected] mentioned, it might be sleep apnea. make audio recordings of your sleep - it should be pretty obvious the moment you are able to get the first breath in again, it will probably be a pretty noisy event. If you have apnea: DONT DELAY SEEING YOUR DOCTORS. This condition causes brain damage over time, you dont want to wait this one out.
If it isn’t that, get your bloodwork done, there’s a load of things that might be an issue.

The parasite in question spreads through excrements. But i agree that to reach this scale, there must be multiple issues; a single sick worker can’t cause this if there are protocols in place to prevent this. Maybe there was an large-scale outbreak in their workforce that everyone ignored. Maybe machines processing the produce weren’t cleaned after an incident. In the end, someone there was very sick, and management ignored it.

There are many diseases that can get transferred specifically by blood and feces. Those situations happen if you abuse your workers by overworking and underpaying them, while neglecting even their most basic needs like a damn toilet.
Doesn’t change the fact that fox only spread that info to rile people up without explaining the surrounding circumstances.
Haven’t played it in coop, but it is an ARPG, meaning text/interactions are neither common nor needed (although i always enjoyed the codex entries one can collect)

its fucking easy - just shit, piss and bleed over the produce at every opportunity.
LoL it wont stop a those 5 builds, i can tell you as much haha
Occultist has always been my favorite secondary class - there’s something for everyone in there ;-)
Good for you - for me cloud saving introduced stutters, which were caused by the way they handled updating the cloud saves; always felt like it feels if your HDD i/o is too slow to cope with something and the whole thing starts grinding down, while being installed on a NVME drive. Disabling the cloud saves made those issues disappear.
So translating this into ARPG nomenclature: Ampere is base damage, and voltage is armor penetration, and your body resistance is armor. Low ampere above a certain threshold can still kill you if the voltage gets high enough, but high amperage can brute force its way with a help from a little bit of voltage. Did I get that right?
