No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What's one cliche "Moral of the story" in media that you hate more than anything else?
22·2 days agoShe’s soooo ugly, she has glasses and a pony tail!
We have to go on an adventure!
If you have the time you might want to report it as a bug to Arch or Cachy.
I’d download the version offered on the Godot website and see if that crashes as well.

3·4 days agoWell, that’s like, Disney’s opinion, man.
That’s one reason why I like using systemd timers instead of cronjobs. You can easily test it by running the unit instead of setting the job to “in a minute”.
Downside is that you don’t easily get notification mails for any output.

6·4 days agoI know nothing of SW. I just made this up.
It’s pretty much spot on.

3·4 days agoBalance is just another name for the light side. The dark side brought chaos. The Jedi themselves were also unbalanced themselves because they were serving a corrupt government, so they wouldn’t have survived Anakin either way.

9·4 days agoBalance to the Force meant basically all light side.
Trouble was that the Jedi have become arrogant and hypocritical. They were also corrupted by the dark side, they just weren’t realising it. They had become political puppets instead of guardians of peace and justice.
I wish George Lucas had been a little more overt about that.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Do non-English speakers learn to code in English, or in their native language?
4·5 days agoA funny one is Pizza Hut. “Hut” means “hat” in German. And since the Pizza Hut logo kind of looks like a hat many Germans believe that they gave it a German name in Germany. So they pronounce it in a German way and if they were to talk to an English speaker they might say Pizza Hat in an effort to translate.

3·6 days agoExacerbate the problem by using your own style that’s not been used before.

6·6 days agoPreferably in English. Nothing is worse than reading code with a mixture of languages. Although false friends can also be quite annoying.
Wow, apparently black people can’t have a family.

While I love that someone has done it. I’ll never want to go back to juggling physical media.
