The problem here is that the technology is owned by capitalist overlords.
And their goal isn’t improving your QoL. If that was the goal we would already enjoy 4 hour work week long time ago.

It is a double edged sword.
If you’re already experienced developer and you use it skillfully, validate produced code it can help.
If you aren’t (and unfortunately everyone thinks they are better than they actually are), it actually can do the opposite, it can help generate a lot of junk code.
Now when working in a team usually majority of people aren’t that great developers typically there might be one or two star developers. The problem is that the other people will still use AI and generate MRs. Reviewing those is extremely time consuming and no one wants to do it. It’s weird to say what’s exactly wrong with those MRs they seem to do things but they seem to do things in a more complicated way.
The thing is that no one wants to review those MRs, everyone is afraid to point AI slop, so the quality of code goes down and even the people who previously were good are getting lost in the code themselves.

Really? I saw two of his articles and also interview and everywhere he was negative about it.
It makes perfect sense since it is analog, each of them provides signal to a separate device. You had one screen and two speakers.

They’ve basically reinvented a mix of payphones and library PCs, but more invasive and more expensive
No this isn’t even the same thing. Library PC is made available to you for free (paid via taxes). Payphone was a bit a different breast, as they supposed to make phone service available at any place when before we had cellphones, although they were also available for free (you paid for making calls though).
Over here they want to remove ownership. Instead of owning a house, you rent an apartment, instead of owning a car you pay to use self driving one, instead of owning a movie or music (yes, I know) you pay for streaming service, and now you won’t even own the computer in your pocket.
Basically they want society where we don’t own anything and only pay subscription fees to live. This push toward that world is called technofeudalism. Only billionaires own things and we are just serfs at their mercy.

I’m aware that they collect information about me and perhaps it could be used to figure out who am I. But handing over ID is actually saying who am I, so anything I would post would be tied to my identity.
That’s still a big difference.

Interesting, I didn’t observe that. I wonder if this is only enabled for specific regions or they just have me a pass because my accounts is 16 years old.

Wait, Reddit requires ID?

If you ever need to view something, just put word “safe” in front of reddit.com
Kind of like you can put “cancel” after x in x.com
Putting it here, because there might be need to see some post, but don’t want anyone to create an account.
Me too, didn’t expect it either. Was secretly hoping that maybe he would somehow redeem himself, but looks like he rather died being trump’s lap dog.
Also McConnell is dead, they just don’t want a special election
Ram 1500, 2500, 3500 … I’m sure it has license plates of at least one of them.
